Welcoming Lynette Machinski, Client Support Director

We are thrilled to welcome Lynette Machinski as the Whatcom Long Term Recovery Group’s new Client Support Director. She has already hit the ground running and is doing wonderful work with our disaster case managers and the families we serve.

A message from Lynette

The WLTRG has done phenomenal work since its inception in 2022. I am honored to continue that legacy serving the families of Whatcom County as the new Client Support Director.

My first career as US Navy pilot led me to the Pacific Northwest in 2002. When I was not flying I was a maintenance, safety, and scheduling officer, to name a few of the hats that I wore. The latter portion of my Navy career was flying logistics missions and serving as the Air Logistics liaison for the Pacific Fleet in Atsugi, Japan. After "retiring" from the Navy in 2021 I worked at Cloud Mountain Farm Center and truly enjoyed immersing myself in a very different type of work, and am still happy to talk about growing fruit!

Throughout the eighteen years that our family has called Whatcom County home, I have had the privilege to serve with various school and church organizations. I have a strong belief in service as a way to build community and bring people together and I'm very excited to use that desire to advance the mission of the WLTRG!
