Dear Whatcom County Residents,

We hope this message finds you safe and well. In the aftermath of the recent weather event that has impacted our community, we understand that some of you may have experienced damage to your homes. We are dedicated to comprehensively assessing the impact and identifying unmet needs during this challenging time.

To gather crucial information about the damage and its broader impact on the community, the Whatcom Long Term Recovery Group has developed a Google Form for your input. This form, attached to this email, is designed to collect details about any damage you may have encountered due to the recent flood event. Your participation is essential in helping us understand the situation and provide appropriate assistance where necessary.

It is important to note that filling out the form does not guarantee assistance. Please note, that this form is to gather details from the Jan. 2024 weather event and no previous events. We intend to gather accurate information to assess the needs of our community effectively. While we are committed to supporting our residents, the availability of assistance may depend on various factors.

We understand that this may be a challenging time for many, and your honest input will enable us to allocate resources more efficiently. Rest assured that the information collected will be treated with the utmost confidentiality, and it will only be used to assess and address the needs arising from the recent weather event.

If you have any questions or require assistance in completing the form, please do not hesitate to reach out to our Lead Disaster Case Manager, Lacey De Lange at whatcomdcm@gmail.com. Your collaboration is crucial in ensuring that our community receives the support it needs during this time of recovery.
