11/21 City of Sumas, Mayor Kyle Christensen: There will be another Sumas Cleanup Day (Monday) from 9:00am-2:00pm

There will be another Sumas Cleanup Day tomorrow (Monday) from 9:00am-2:00pm. All volunteers will need to stop in at the checkin center on the corner of Cherry St and Sumas Ave when you first come in to town. From there, you will get your assignment and directions. We will be able to help more people if we are organized and have a structured approach to help the most people as possible. We are asking everyone to carpool if they are able to, to help us with parking constraints. Dump trailers and hand unloading trailers and trucks will go to the dumpster next to Edaleen Dairy. We also have another dumpster for dump trailers on the north side of the creek by the duty free store by the border on Harrison St. Vehicles will need to enter using Cherry St. There is also a separate dump site for all the used sand bags on the north side of Super Duper. We also have a place for metal and appliances across from Bob’s Burgers. Lunch will be provided for all volunteers from 11:30am-1:00pm across the street from the Sumas Christian Advent Church by the Salvation food truck and other providers.

As we have mentioned before, please remember to check with your insurance provider if you have flood insurance. They may need to come out and view the damage before it is disposed of. Take lots of pictures as well.

Please fill out the volunteer form and help request form that is listed below. We appreciate all the volunteers that helped us today. See you tomorrow!
